"We who believe do enter into rest." (ie have already entered into the sanctuary and indestructible fortress called Rest and the Peace of God)

But when do we enter into rest? After death? In some sweet afterlife? Someday when things look peaceful? No, you have entered into the immortal tower of rest at the moment when you believe. You are already at rest; it just doesn't look like it yet on the outside.

"My peace I give you, My peace I leave with you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not worry or be afraid. In the world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have (already) conquered the world."

The only thing that truly gives us trouble and robs of peace and is actually dangerous is not the trouble but letting go of peace.

"And then the Peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
